Provider group

A set of NPIs under one TIN that share the same negotiated rates in an MRF.

Rather than repeating every provider for every rate, MRFs define provider groups (a TIN plus its NPIs) and reference them by ID. A single rate can apply to thousands of providers at once.

Unpacking these references is one of the main steps in turning raw MRF data into per-provider prices.
